FINALLY Senate Confirms Appointments of Service Chiefs

Despite efforts by some senators of  All Progressives Congress (APC) to stall the screening of newly appointed service chiefs, the Senate cleared the officers on Thursday without a single opposition.

This confirmation followed the presentation of the report by Joint Senate Committee on Navy, Army and Air Force by Senator George Sekibo, which recommended them for confirmation.

The officers so confirmed were Air Marshal Alex Badeh (Chief of Defence Staff), Major General Kenneth Minimah (Chief of Army Staff), Rear Admiral Usman Jibrin (Chief of Naval Staff) and Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu (Chief of Air Staff).
