Governor Akpabio Donates 50m Naira to Nollywood
While thousands are still unemployed today in Akwa Ibom State, the alleged father Christmas governor Godswill Akpabio has donated a whopping 50 million naira to Nollywood practitioners.
President of the Association of Movie Producers, Zik Zulu Okafor, President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, Andy Amenechi and movie star and producer, Stephanie Okereke Linus received Governor Godswill Akpabio’s N50m gift for Nollywood on Monday, June 25, 2013.
The Akwa Ibom State governor had pledged to donate N50m to Nollywood during the celebration of Nollywood stars at 20 with President Goodluck Jonathan.
Information has it that Zik led few Nollywood practitioners to the Government House, Uyo on a courtesy call where the generous governor redeemed his pledge.
Also spotted at the occasion was AGN National scribe, Abubakar Sanni Yakub.
It is however unsure the participation of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria and other guilds in this receipt of fund.
