3 Secondary School Hostel Blocks Catches Fire in Katsina
Three hostels have been destroyed by fire at Government Science Secondary School (GGSS) in Katsina State.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the fire occurred on Monday at about 12:30 while students were in class.
The fire destroyed three hostel blocks in the school. Although no student was injured, some of them who, just returned from the Eid-el-Kabir holiday lost most of their belongings in the inferno.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Eye witnesses told NAN that the fire lasted three hours before it was brought under control through the combined efforts of the fire service officials from Daura, security men and staff of Sandamu Local Government Council.
