Governor Aliyu Insists on Zoning in Niger State
Gov. Babangida Aliyu of Niger State says zoning in the PDP for the 2015 governorship election "is sacrosanct and binding in the selection and fielding of candidates''.

He said that the PDP would adhere to the zoning policy during the selection process for the 2015 election in the state.
Aliyu said that the zoning policy used in the state, had ensured balancing and stability in political arrangement since 1999, noting that he would resist any attempt to change it. He accused those campaigning against zoning of been selfish and pursuing ethnic interest.
