Harlem Globetrotter Sets New World Record For the Longest Basketball Shot [Video]
Globetrotters rookie Thunder Law today smashed the official Guinness World Records® record for the longest basketball shot -- connecting from 109 feet 9 inches, besting the old mark of 104 feet 7 inches, set nearly three years ago.
Law stood a few rows back into the seats at the Phoenix Suns home, US Airways Arena, on Thursday (also known as Guinness World Records day), and launched a one-armed rocket that rattled home.
Sara Wilcox presented Law with the award on behalf of Guinness World Records.
"It's definitely an honor," Law said. "I can't believe I broke a record on Guinness World Record day. A shot: 109-feet, 9 inches. Awesome!"
Words don't really do it justice - there is no evidence of how many attempts it took, but does that really matter
