Niger State Assembly Approves 98 Billion Naira 2014 Budget
The Niger State House of Assembly has approved the sum of N98, 852,343,536 as the total appropriated budget for the state for the year 2014.
This followed the submission of the report that the committee on finance and appropriation which was on the December 11, mandated to carry out legislative activity on the presented budget estimate by the Chief Servant, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu.
The appropriated budget for the coming year 2014 for the state is made up of capital expenditure of N51, 562,062, 945, while the recurrent expenditure would be covered by the sum of N47, 290, 280, 945 only.
The Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Honorable Usman Magaji explained that the approved sum for the 2014 budget was in line with the medium term physical framework of the state earlier adopted by the state legislature.
