Super Eagles Lose To Black Stars of Ghana on Penalties

Despite having a one man advantage for most of the second half the Super Eagles of Nigeria have failed to qualify for the final of the African Nations Championship, after they lost out to the Black Stars of Ghana.

Stephen Keshi’s men failed to score in regulation time, even though Kwabena Adusei from the Ghanaian side was sent off in the 64th minute.

Stephen Adams pulled off a close-range save to deny Ugonna Uzochukwu's header at the last minute of extra time, sending the game to penalties where the Black Stars won 4-2.

Ghana will meet Libya, who also beat their opponents Zimbabwe via penalties last night.
