3 Appointed to Represent Niger State at National Constitutional Conference
The Chief Servant and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, on Wednesday presided over a stakeholders’ meeting to finally articulate the state’s position on various national issues ahead of the National Constitutional Conference.
At the end of the meeting, three people were chosen, one from each senatorial zone, to represent the state at the conference. They are: Hajiya Dije Bala, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Adamu and Barrister Halidu Ibrahim from zones A, B, and C respectively.
Niger State Government on its official facebook page said the appointees are to present the state’s position on issues that are sacrosanct to the people particularly in the areas of; Fiscal federalism, structure of government, derivation, state police, local government autonomy, immunity clause, resource control, electoral law, states creation, role of traditional rulers as well as general security among others.
