SSS Release Detained Activist 'Omojuwa' & Five other Protesters
The Department of State Security Service, SSS, has released social activist, Japheth Omojuwa, and five others after they were arrested in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon for protesting the death of 17 people in bizarre nationwide recruitment exercise conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The names of the other protesters arrested were given as Calvin Lawan, Uche Briggs, Ikeolu Senbanjo, Tosin Adex and a Mr. Ogunmola.
The detained protesters were released at about 8 p.m. and their phones handed back to them. The police asked that they report today (Thursday).
