University Student Jailed For Having Forced Anal Sex With Teenage Boy

An Upper Area Court in Zuba, FCT, on Thursday sentenced a student, Nonso Nzeti, to six months imprisonment for having anal sex with a 17-year old boy.


Malam Aminu Sa’ad, the presiding judge, passed the judgement after the 23-year old 300-level student of University of Abuja pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of committing unnatural offence.


Sa’ad also added a compulsory fine of N50,000 to be paid by the convict.


Earlier the prosecutor, Cpl. Momoh Ibrahim, told the court that on March 30, one Ige Sunday of Duste Makaranta, Abuja, reported the matter at Duste Alhaji Police Station.

Ibrahim said Sunday discovered that his apprentice (name withheld) was walking abnormally.

He said when the boy was asked, he said that the accused and his friends, now at large, forcefully had sexual intercourse with him through his anus.

The prosecutor told the court that during police investigation, the convict confessed to have committed the crime, adding that his crime contravened the Penal Code.
