Pakistan's President Will Begin a Four-Day Official Visit to Nigeria

President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain will begin a four-day official visit to Nigeria from June 9, Nigeria's High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr Dauda Danladi confirmed on Sunday in Abuja.


Hussain’s state visit was earlier scheduled for April 21 to April 24, but was postponed.

Speaking to newsmen by telephone in Abuja, Danladi said the Pakistani president's is leading a 70-man delegation to Nigeria, of which ten had already arrived.

"The visit is the first presidential visit from Pakistan in 32 years and it will provide an opportunity for both countries to discuss how to boost economic and trade relations," he said.

Meanwhile The Times of India has reported that ten gunmen disguised as police guards attacked a terminal at Pakistan's busiest Jinnah International Airport in Karachi late on Sunday. At least 23 people, including 10 terrorists, were reportedly killed during a five-hour siege.
