Sick Candidates Will Not Be Allowed to Write WAEC Exams
The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has warned that sick candidates will not be allowed to write the forthcoming November/December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE.
WAEC urged sick candidates to stay away from the examination centers.
The examination body said barring sick students from writing the exams was part of its contribution to halting to spread of the deadly Ebola Virus which had so far killed five persons in the country.
According to National Mirror, WAEC also noted that it had prepared to curb the spread of the virus by providing preventive measures in its centres, including hand gloves, masks and sanitisers.
