The Patron of Shade of Hope Mrs Helena Akpufu in an interview with Switch Media during the awareness campaign, indicated that the fight against Ebola should go beyond societal affiliations to ensure that the disease is kicked out of Nigeria in the face of the alarming panic among Nigerians.
She stressed that while government has put in place measures to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus to other parts of the country, it is critical to fast-track responsive intervention from health authorities to save lives.
Mrs Akpufu said the battle against Ebola should be tackled from every village, town and community across the country with all stakeholders getting involved to eradicate the disease.
