Deputy Governor 'Ahmed Ibeto' Joins Niger State Guber Race
The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, has picked nomination form to contest the 2015 governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He becomes the second person among the present state Executive Council to so declare after the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Umar Nasko, had collected nomination form under the same platform.
The Guardian reports that, speaking shortly after obtaining both the intent and nomination forms, Ibeto said he was entering the race to effect some positive changes in the area of infrastructure transformation in other to bring development closer to the people.
Stating that the current administration, a part of which he had been for almost eight years now has done well in developing the state in all areas, he stressed the need to bring in more positive innovations.
